Never knew that I will be doing sales in my career but as the faith would have it, my first stint is giving me very refreshing perspectives of life. It started with sitting in Haryana Roadways bus. I was startled to see a brick on the accelerator while the driver sat with one leg folded. He had that devil-may-care-about-the-passengers look on his face though at the same time he knew what he was doing. If this was not enough, I saw a car getting toppled in front of my bus in a water logged area..haryanvi guys came out-laughing- as if this was a daily thing for them. I was amazed...about meeting different kinds of people..having long conversations with them..getting to know them..their view points in life..which can be something you can cherish..something you can learn from..a lot. Met a distributor today..he had started, done and dusted close to 20 successful businesses..big and small..made and spent loads of money.. is now a content person .. with all the experience he has gained in life.. talking to him makes you wanna get going and do something of your own in life..he talks with such sparkling eyes about the way he was always excited about starting and concluding new businesses..not to make money..but to introspect about his potential of making every business he touched-successful. Then went on to meet another distributor-who used to be a gambler before- had lost close to 2 lakhs of his father's hard earned money- and now almost doubles all the money he puts in his businesses- thanks to the tricks he learnt while gambling- tricks to understand people's psychology- laughs off the losses he made in life- for they taught him how to make money. Then came the one who never went to school- and now runs 4 businesses- just talks in percentage lingo-for he knows that's the only thing which matters when it comes to growing his businesses- he can make you feel so stupid in seconds. Whenever I go and meet him..he just asks...what percent of his target is left..and we talk no further..he knows his stuff. Now I move on to the language- I m talking about Haryana here folks- everybody talks so rough but that is where the love lies. Trust kind of flows in the air.. entrusting anybody with one's valuables is a common sight here. It has only been a week since I am here..i guess there is much more amazement  in store for me...
